WILD FLOWER HIKE

Join us for a creative and adventurous hike!  As summer sets in, the alpine meadows come alive with wildflowers like Indian Paintbrush, Lupines and  Arnica. During a 3 to 4  hour guided alpine hike you will discover wild flowers and learn how to identify them.

Included in this workshop is a Flower Press. Discover the art of preserving beautiful blooms and learn step-by-step techniques to create beautiful dried flower art. The hike x workshop is lead by designer and gardener Hope Johnson and the Kymare Collective.

Cost
Tickets $65.- (Early Bird tickets $55,- till June 30th)

Intimate group of max 16 people.

Details will be shared by email, meet at 11am at Callaghan Park entrance.

Distance: 8 to max 12 km
Elevation Gain: 200
Difficulty: Moderate
Duration: 3 - 4 hours including wild flowers study & lunch, we will take our time!

Swim & Refreshments x Snacks  ±4-5pm


What's to Bring
- comfortable hike clothes and boots, a wind/rain jacket

- water and snacks 

- sunscreen and sun-protection / hats

- bug spray

- swimwear (we might have time for a swim)

 

Frequently asked questions


Do I need any botanical or hike experience?
No experience is needed. The guides will share their knowledge and provide information for plant identification and use. If you’re curious about wild flowers, this is a great place to start.  

Can I bring my dog?
We love animals, but unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on this hike.


Can I come alone?
Yes. It’s a small group, making it easy to connect with others.

What is the average age?
Past workshops have included participants between the ages of 22 and 47. Open to all genders and anyone curious about foraging & wild flowers.

Important notes:


- This event is only suitable for those 18 and above.


- A moderate fitness level is needed, we will be hiking about 8 to 12 km for 3 to 4 hours.

- All tickets for this event are refundable till 3 days prior the event.
